The Broadband Service is being given through the state of the art Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) based IP Infrastructure, which is designed to provide reliable routes to cover all possible destinations within and outside the college. Layer 1 of the network consist of a high speed Backbone comprising of powerful Core Routers connected with high speed links.
Convergent IP infrastructure through National Internet Backbone, through which it is providing convergent services through the same backbone and broadband access network. The Broadband service is available on ADSL technology.
The PPDCET Central Library which collectively supports the teaching, research and extension program of the Institute with more than 11,121 volumes & about 45 nationals and internationals journals is indeed a rich repository of knowledge. Recently it also provides the facility of Delnet to its Faculty members as well as Students.
A digital library is also maintained. It is an online archive of useful software, books and tutorials. Students can download any permitted software from this resource. There are many textbooks and reference books available in the digital format as well. Many lectures have also been recorded and are available online for students’ use.
Library aims to be best among engineering college libraries in the country. Library intends to incorporate the latest technology and adopt user friendly approach towards students and faculty. Library intends to offer comprehensive services related to dissemination of knowledge.
Library serves as a resource center and aims to develop a comprehensive collection of document’s useful for faculty and students of the institute and provides an efficient dissemination of knowledge.
To serve the academic needs of all students and faculty members. As a center for collection of books and Journals of all related subjects to develop a comprehensive collection of information required for teaching and reference purpose. To acquire, organize Information resources to meet the present and future needs of its users.
The Library is being managed with a fully integrated multi user Library Management Software, named as EzLibrary. Using this software, cataloguing as well as circulation services have been fully automated, it supports all in-house operations of the Library. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. The editing and updating activities are in progress.
Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls inside the campus. Presently accommodation is available for 400 students.
10 high tech buses are put into service for the benefit of students and staff. The routes cover all the major boarding points inside the city and suburbs of Vijayawada.
A full-fledged canteen caters to the requirements of students and staff. Two kiosks are available inside the campus for light refreshments like tea/coffee and snacks.
Noise free environment would make students to concentrate on their studies effectively. "We take up plantation programme frequently with the active participation of students so that they will understand the importance of envirnoment and ill-effect of pollution. The entire campus has landscaping with green grass, ornamental plants, and shady trees making the campus very green and beautiful.
